This immersive study-abroad program in Kyoto combines Japanese language learning with unforgettable cultural travel.

Schedule: March 20, 2026 – April 2nd 2026 (held during cherry blossom season 🌸)
Daily Structure: Morning Japanese classes / Afternoon tours & activities
Maximum Participants: 15 students
Class Levels:
- Advanced: JLPT N1 (upper N2 also accepted)
- Beginner: JLPT N5
Program Fees:
- Classes + Afternoon Activities: $2,500
- Classes Only: $1,000
Eligibility: Ages 18 and above

Two program options are available:

Full Package – includes lessons and afternoon activities
Classes Only – lessons only

Please choose the option that best suits your needs.

Participants must arrange their own flights and hotel accommodations, and it is recommended to arrive one day before the program starts. Travel insurance is required.

Cancellation policy:

Up to one month before the start date: 50% cancellation fee
Less than one month before the start date: non-refundable

Participants are responsible for any damage to property or belongings during the program.

I will contact you as soon as the classroom location is decided. I recommend booking a hotel as close to the venue as possible.

N1CLASS

Enjoy highly interactive lessons designed to keep you engaged and actively using Japanese. Classes include conversation practice, games, news discussions, translation and interpretation training, novel reading, grammar, debates, and more—advanced, dynamic learning experiences you won’t find in a typical language school.

Of course, you’re also welcome to use Japanese during the afternoon activities to keep practicing in real-life situations.

All classes are led by Konnichiwa My Dude.

N5 CLASS

This is a fully beginner-level course starting from the very basics, including hiragana and katakana. Complete beginners are more than welcome—no prior knowledge of Japanese is required.

A variety of learning materials will be used to make lessons engaging, clear, and enjoyable. A friendly American instructor will be teaching, so please don’t worry if you’re not confident in Japanese — English support is available.

About

My name is Masahiro Sano (Ray)

Representative of Ray's Lighthouse and Konnichiwa My Dude, and the organizer of this program.

He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at university and completed a Japanese language teacher training program during his studies. Over the past five years, he has conducted more than 3,000 lessons.

In addition to teaching, he has been involved in a wide range of inbound-related work, including interpretation, translation, and street photography.
